Members add-on not installing

I get a plug-in failed error when i try to upload the members add-on. Any ideas?
Unpacking the package…
Installing the plugin…
Destination folder already exists

Hi Elizabeth,

The error message indicates that there is already a copy of the member’s add-on in the plugins directory. If you’re trying to upgrade to the new version, you’ll need to delete the old one first.

How does one do that? the only place I could find it is in the media library. I tried deleteing there with no luck. thanks.

ok – disregard – it must be on our main server, which I do not have access to. I will check with our staff who manages it – thanks.
