Good Day,

We have a requirement for users of our site to register on the site first, before making use of the site’s services. The focus of the site is not really required to be focused on user/member input (blogging, etc) but will need to have that functionality in future.

Different classes of users will have different permissions, or different functionality altogether. For instance, event organisers would need to be able to register an event with all it’s particular details, and participants in those events would need to view it, register, add to calendars, etc.

I have tried out the “member” registration and login, which is useful, however it diverts the registrant to a WordPress registration page. I would like it to remain a “site” function, i.e. I want it to be done on the site itself. With checkboxes for different classes of members.

I hope I am making sense.

So, having taken the loooong way round, my questions are:
1. Can the member registration page be made to be “within” the website, instead of being redirected to a “WordPress” registration looking page?
2. I want to initiate the choice of member class by means of a check box, which then changes the required fields depending on which box has been chosen. Is this also possible?

I want all functionality for users of the site to remain within the confines of the website, or at least appear to be.

The site is still in it’s infancy, but I really want to build from a good base, so that I don’t have to go changing the database structure later on so that additional functionality can be made to work.

Your views would be much appreciated.
