However, my client also wants to segment those members, such that only members with a certain level of access privileges may register. For example, there are 4 levels of access in the membership site on which Event Espresso is used. If I only want Levels 2-4 to be able to register for a particular event, is this possible?
It’s the WP user integration add-on that makes it possible to make events members only. Note that it’s included with the business license, or can be purchased a la carte.
The integration add-on currently does not differentiate levels of membership. So one way I could imagine preventing a level 1 member to not have access would be to create a sign up page for the specific event, and set that page to only display for level 2-4 members.
This isn’t the best solution, as it may complicate displaying events on the calendar and event list. There are workarounds for this, as you could create event list pages and calendar pages based on categories, and assign these events to the appropriate categories based on level access. Then set the pages to allow access according to the member level.
