map and picture doesn't automatically show

Hi, After I create a venue, and then a new event, the page/post will show info but the picture won’t show and the map won’t show (just a little icon that I guess signifies a broken link?). If I add [ESPRESSO_VENUE] to the end of the post, then the picture and map shows up, but then I end up getting the address plus Map and Directions/register twice on the same post. I’m hoping I don’t have to manually change things within a post every time there’s a new event. Is this possible to fix, or am I doing something wrong? Thank you.

Hi,

The default behaviour is when the Tempolate Settings have been set to allow the address to show (default for registration pages) it will show the textual address and a link to a map. Adding the shortcode will display the map fully.

To get rid of the duplicated address either remove the shortcode or turn off the address settings in the Template Settings options.

You can either add the shortcode to an event each time it is created or if you wish you can modify the registration_page_display template file to display the shortcode automatically.

Do you mind checking my webpage to see if it really is default behaviour? You seemed to still have my details last time I asked a question. Should I send you a mail again?
Thanks.

Found it!

I have left it in but it is coming from the POST of the event, not the event itself.

The event http://deadboss.net/event-registration/?ee=1
The post http://deadboss.net/annual-ijcc-golf-tounament-in-chiba/

Everytime the event is updated, because it is linked to update the post as well it is adding this stuff into the post.

It is doing it for me as well on my test server.

As an interim workaround, I would deactivate the link between the post and event and manually remove the map stuff from the post.

I will look into this a bit more and probably raise a ticket for the devs to examine.

PS Check you TinyMCE plugin it is breaking the editor in the events (we dislike them for this reason) I had to disable it in order to check details.
