Is it possible to add a registration with a back date? We have a year long event. Repeats every year. We get paper payments but they come in sometimes months later. We want to submit and create a ticket for the date it should have been purchased in the past. Is that possible? |

Hi there, So just to clarify, you want to add a registration to an event that has expired (the event date has passed) that currently has no ‘active’ tickets available on it? |
|
No, the registration is still active it a year long event. Some tickets are sold in past months by snail mail paper invoice and we want to be able to manually add the tickets for the correct months. |

My apologies, but I still don’t understand how you have this set up. In terms of EE, how are you creating ‘months’? Tickets? Or is it the Reg Date that you are wanting to set as a specific date? Ie, this field – https://monosnap.com/file/vFy1FxXtIBucJPfg2TerO6aox9yXKE |

Our client has a yearly membership. We have a event that runs from January to December every year. People can buy they membership for the year on there and we use those orders to send out emails for renewal reminders. They also have a way for members to pay via a paper send in form thats outside of EE. We want to take these paper memberships and apply them to EE in the month are are paid for so we can track them. Example. Someone sends in a paper for and check for March. We dont get it till the end of April. We want to create “buy a ticket” in march so we can track that sale. So we would like to back date event purchase dates. Does that help? |

I think it does thank you, so it’s the Reg Date field you are using to track memberships, right? The field shown here: https://monosnap.com/file/vFy1FxXtIBucJPfg2TerO6aox9yXKE So you want to add a registration with that date backdated? Note that if the above is correct, we don’t currently have an option to change that value without manually editing the database, which I do NOT recommend. |

Thats a bummer. Any chance you guys are thinking of a membership plugin at some point? |
|
Not that I’m aware of but we work with pretty much any membership plugin that uses capabilities (most of them do). So you could use something like s2member or Ultimate Member to manager your memberships, which will most likely manager most of the steps you do now automatically. The idea being that Event Espresso sticks to its core values, we focus on event management and leave {insert whichever membership plugin you prefer here} to focus on what it does best, manage users/members. |
