making wait list questions match registration questions

when someone joins wait list and you approve them, you are left with just the few fields in the wait list form. How can you either ask for all the form questons up front, OR allow them to complete the full registration by answering all questions when they are released from list?

Thanks for contacting our support!

Currently, you can’t set the waitlist form to match the registration questions.

Our Wait List add-on will collect the attendee’s name and email, but the attendee will be able to fill out the registration form and pay (if it’s a paid event) just when a place is available in your event. The waitlist registrations are basically placeholders rather than full registrations, we don’t capture all of the event details unless the attendee is going.

OK I think that I didn’t see that they were invited to fill out the full registration, because it seems that you have to set them to “pending payment” and I had it on a no-charge event. I don’t see a “promote off wait list” option and therefore when I posted this question I had no idea how to get the full registration. The only way I can see to make this work is to have a paid event and then change to pending payment. For future input, the phone # would be good to have on the initial wait list form because as we know sometimes these emails are missed and we want to be able to leave a phone msg with the wait list person to check their email.

We would like to thank you for suggesting the phone message to alert the person about the wait list. I am currently creating a feature request in our Github repository just to an evaluation from the development team.
