Make Payment Mandatory

Using WP 3.9.2. and Event Espresso 3 with PayPal as payment gateway. Currently, when registering for an event, customers are asked to submit their personal information first and are then asked to hit a “SUBMIT” button which brings them to the payment page. This means that people can register for an event but not necessarily pay. Is there a way to make payment mandatory (in other words, on the same page as the personal info submission) so that it’s all or nothing?

Hi,

Event Espresso needs to create a registration record before a payment can be associated with it.

You can ensure that your attendee limit doesn’t oversell by adjusting some settings on the General Settings page of Event Espresso within your WordPress dashboard (WP-admin):

Then set the payment default status to incomplete:
