Make email optional or hidden for additional attendees

Hi,

I have searched the forums for an answer to this issue, but for some reason all of the answers are on the multi event booking forum, which I cannot read, and oddly don’t appear to be the correct forum for the question.

We run a small bakery that teaches classes for kids. When someone registers it will likely be the parent. If they have mulitple children as additional attendees we are gathering some information such as sex and birthdate so we can plan the appropriate class items. They don’t have email addresses, but to get the additional questions to appear I have to make all registration information required.

I really need a way to hide/remove the field as they probably don’t have email addresses, and even if they did, they wouldn’t need confirmation, it could ruin a surprise.

How can I NOT force the parent to re-type their email, and still be able to gather the additional question information that I need.

Thanks,

Marc

Hi Marc,

The way the system works is that if you create additional attendees they are created as attendees in the database. As such the plugin needs their name and email address in order to correctly add them.

The only way to not obtain that is to not have them as additional attendees, and just add extra questions to the primary attendee to get that info.

I understand that this may not be ideal in your situation, but there is no other way to do it, unless the registrant is advised to use the same email address for each attendee.
