Make a custom 'thank you page'

Hi team,

We are considering to buy an EventEspresso license. We are enjoying our today created trial on EE’s website.

However, we have one minor question regarding the ‘Thank you’ page. I did a quick forum search, too. I’ve found these interesting pages:
https://eventespresso.com/topic/thank-you-page-modification/
https://eventespresso.com/wiki/ee4-thank-page-actions-filters-hooks/

Well, I’ve seen that the ‘Thank You’ page is just a regular WP page. However, the shortcode does seem to inject some parts that we simply do not need. We are trying to accomplish a very basic ‘Thank you’ page without too many info. For example, we are generating our own invoices; so we don’t want to link to EE’s invoices and / or receipt. To make my wish more clear, I’ve made a screenshot including some annotations:

In short, this is what we want to do (please notice the numbers in the image, too):
1) We want to change the text here. Do I understand correctly that we could do this by changing language files?
2) We don’t need this button and would like to remove it.
3) ‘Transaction details’ part can be removed completely.
4) ‘Payment overview’ part can be removed completely.

How could we accomplish these points? Could someone set us on the right track? Or is this something that simply is not easy to achieve with EE? I would appreciate an honest answer :). We have internal development resources in-house, so that should not be an issue.

Thanks in advance!

Hi, so I understand correctly, you would like to hide the elements in red?

If so, that could be done with a couple lines of CSS which could be added to your child theme’s stylesheet.

Hi Lorenzo!

Thanks for your answers; yes, you did understand me correctly!

Thanks for the tip. On last question though; I also mentioned we want to change the “Congratulations” text (see number 1 in my image). Where do we change that? In a language file or somewhere else?

Cheers!

Hi,

You will need to do this via either the language files or a custom function to translate the text. See here for more info: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/how-to-change-wording-with-poedit/

The exact string you need to translate is:

%1$sCongratulations%2$sYour registration has been successfully processed.%3$sCheck your email for your registration confirmation or click the button below to view / download / print a full description of your purchases and registration information.
