The main events page either displays the full event info (if using the plugin version of the events archive file) but does not pick up the theme header and footer information: https://www.naiopmd.org/events-2/
I have also tried to get this to work by copying the archive-espresso_events.php template from the plugin into the theme and specifying a header and footer file (the theme has several), and that doesn’t fix it either. That fixes the header and footer display issue, but only the event title and description display – no date or time information.
The date/time does display on the individual event page though – and this was achieved by copying single-event_espresso.php to the theme, and specifying the interior footer and header.
I am new to Espresso and its being installed on a custom theme, so I’m a little bit lost as to why the information wouldn’t be displaying automatically.
Here’s the main events page with no header bar or nav bar:

Hi there,
You should not copy over the archive-espresso_events.php template from the plugin into the theme. There’s some theme developer documentation that outlines how to make custom templates for custom WP themes here:
