mailchimp plugin text vs html

Hello, I have EE registrations integrated with mailchimp already. The registrants are added automatically to the list/group in mailchimp perfectly. The only problem is they are added as text for preferred format. I have checked the settings in the settings of the mailchimp plugin and it has html selected, yet when I go to the group in mailchimp, if the person was added directly/by API it has text as the preferred format. Thanks for any help.

Hi Irene,

I spent some time testing this but unfortunately, I’ve not been able to reproduce.

All of the subscribers I’ve added to a list have their preferred format as whatever I have set in MailChimp (I tested both HTML and Text).

In Event Espresso -> MailChimp

Do you have it set to skip opt-in emails?

‘Email content type’ is set to HTML, yes?

What do you have set for ‘Submit to MailChimp when …’?

Have you tested adding a registration yourself to see if that subscriber is also set to text?
