I’ve configured the Mailchimp plugin in EE4. Everything is working great. I have it set to Submit to MailChimp when “registration is completed with an approved status.”
This works great when they go through the normal registration process and pay through Paypal. However, if I abandon the payment and then I go in as an admin and create the payment through wp-admin, then it doesn’t add that person to Mailchimp.
Is that suppose to be that way or should it be adding to MailChimp even if I add the payment manually which changes the status to approved. I can deal with either way, but I want to make sure I understand how it’s suppose to work before I create a workflow with that in mind. That said, it would be nice if they added them to Mailchimp whenever they get to an “Approved” status.
It actually works that way. The MailChimp setting would be more accurately labeled: “when front-end registration is completed with an approved status”. The MailChimp add-on doesn’t hook into registration processed, added, or updated via the admin.
Sounds good. We’ll just have to remember to manually add them to Mailchimp. Thanks for letting me know.
