We have linked our mailchimp account so that when we create an event, the attendee is added to our mailing list and then they are sent an automated welcome message. The problem is only some attendees are receiving this email, and then some people who are pending payment or abandoned their booking are being added to the list and sent the welcome message. Can you help me figure out why?
So you only want users that have paid to be added to the list? If so go to:
Event Espresso -> MailChimp
Then make sure the option ‘Submit to MailChimp when …’ is set to ‘registration is completed with an approved status.’ and save.
