Hi,

Re the MailChimp add-on for EE4 and the double opt-in without consent – I’ve read a few other posts on this and it seems the inclusion of a checkbox to allow the registrant to opt-in is not yet available. The only way the MailChimp integration works is to send a double opt-in to the user. So we can’t really ask the user for their permission to do this, although we can tell them we’re going to do this, which seems a bit heavy-handed and will definitely have a negative effect on registrations as people will feel they’re being pressured into signing up.

i.e. “Look I’ve completed the form for you, all you need to do is sign here!”

I don’t know the history of the add-on, but it’s more than a bit clumsy and not really deserving our cash! Although I got the add-on as part of a bundle, it’s effectively still a paid product and one that really doesn’t do a very good job.

Please add my voice to any updates / feature requests you might have in line for this add-on.

EE4 is great, this add-on is a bit of a break in the chain though…
