After cleaning a site by removing plugins and some files, non EE ones (probable malware) in can only see past events until 2020. Mad some new events because people wanted to register. Luckily the registrations were not lost. I’m trying to connect the registrations to a new “workshop” but this creates an error because they aren’t connected to the lost workshop anymore. Not easy to explain because my native language isn’t English.

You can try to use google translate if needed. If you didn’t delete anything in the database, then the data is still there.
You can install back all the EE plugin that you deactivated and see if the data is back.
Why do you need to move them to new registration? is the old workshop removed? you might check your trash and restore it from there?

The old workshops were deleted indeed, but the registrations still exists. When i try to move an old registrations to a new workshop it generates an error.

Can you give us information about your site.
What is your EE version, php and Wp Version?
Are you using Attendee mover add-on? What error did you received? Do you have the error log? Can you paste it here?
Have you tried checking any plugin/theme conflict?
