EE 4.8.35.

We have some events that require members to login using EE WP Users; the users log in and then are again asked to log in before purchasing the tickets.

See screenshot that shows the logged-in user and the same prompt: https://www.dropbox.com/s/yig3j04qixya73d/Screen%20Shot%202016-03-30%20at%2018.02.28.png?dl=0

Hi Scott,

Are you trying to input a different email address in the email field than the one that’s tied to your account?

Josh; no, we’re not.

These are members who are logging into the site because we require the member to be logged in to purchase a ticket to the event.

Their information may already be pre-populated and when they go to proceed to the payment part of the transaction, they get the error.

As it’s a trade association and may of the users aren’t fully tech-savvy, as the guy maintaining the site I’m catching a lot of blowback.

While their information may be pre-populated in the form, if they happen to change the email address to be another email address, and the other email address matches another user account, it will display the message.

Can you ask them if they’re trying to change the email address in the registration form’s email field?

Josh, I am doing this myself with my login and I can guarantee you that it is not happening and that the email address is staying the same.

I’m sorry, your last reply is a bit confusing. You can guarantee the issue is happening or is not happening when you test the reg form?

No problem, Josh.

I’m one of the people who has been testing the process and they’re my sites. I log in with my credentials as a “member” and not at an admin level on the site and I don’t change a thing in my contact details and I receive the error.

On another site we set up I saw it happening with somebody who tried to even clone the same email address on file across multiple registrants to an event.

So, we’re kinda flummoxed.

Hi Scott,

You can disable the email match check by adding the following to your site:

add_filter('EED_WP_Users_SPCO__verify_user_access__perform_email_user_match_check', '__return_false');

You can add the above to a functions plugin or into your WordPress theme’s functions.php file.
