Does the Social Coupon plugin support LivingSocial? I have a campaign starting on May 8 and would prefer that customers register online so I can track what session they are attending. Need to know ASAP!

Hi Carlos,

I responded to you via email, but I wanted to post the answer here as well.

Yes. The Social Coupon code add-on will work for Living Social codes.

Let us know if you have anymore questions.

OK,

I got everything set up but the system does not accept the livingsocial voucher codes. What am I doing wrong?

Hi Carlos,

Did you follow the steps outlined in the documentation:

https://eventespresso.com/wiki/social-coupons-add-on/

Yes, and when I bulk import I get that the fields do not have a default value and no data is imported with the voucher import tool. Doing them individually just reports that it was not imported. My customers want to redeem their vouchers but I cannot help them and your product is not working as advertised.

For the record, here is a screenshot of the problem.

I think that your policy of charging for support should start AFTER you get the app working on your customer’s site, not before. The purchase price should include the setup of the damned thing.

Hello Carlos,

I am sorry that you are having issues here.

It looks like there may have been an error on installation for some reason as the query is looking for something in the database table and it isnt finding it (the query you showed in the image works fine on a test install).

Please can you try deactivating all event Espresso plugins installed and reactivating them.

Just did. Same thing happened.

The error messages from the screenshot indicate the server is running an older version of mysql. You can find the version number of MySQL that is on your server by installing the Event Espresso requirements check plugin that you can download here:

https://eventespresso.com/requirements/

It will also help to know which version of PHP and the server software is installed, which you can find on the Event Espresso>System status page.

Here is what the plugin reports:

The file paths are indicating that this might be a Windows server. Can you confirm the server software by going to the Event Espresso>System status page and checking there?

In this case, you may need to go into the database and change the default value from none to 0 for the event_id column in wp_events_groupon_codes.

We generally recommend running Event Espresso on a LAMP stack because it’s not being developed or tested on Windows server, so you may end up running into other issues where Windows server has the very strict SQL guidelines.
