Hi
In list view the link to Book Now is in white and shows black on hover
How can I change the white initial text in the list so that it is readable – being white it does not show up against the background

sure
if you go to http://www.bosworthsgc.co.uk/coach-trips and scroll past the grid you will see the trips listed in “list” format. Hovering over the end column shows the word Book Now but ordinarily the text is showing in the same colour as the background.

Ok, I see.
Within your crum inline styles you have this rule:
a {
color: #ffffff;
}
Which sets all links to use white for the font colour.
You can override that specifically for the EE table view template using:
#ee_filter_table .a_register_link {
color: #000;
}
