How can I give a discount to an event only to someone who has registered for a different, but related, event? Currently I have two separate events (a car show on a Friday-Saturday, with 8 ticket types, and an optional track-day the previous Thursday, itself with two options) at two separate venues. I want to ensure that no one registers for the track day unless they also register for the car show; but to permit track-only registrations at a higher price. The Promotions addon doesn’t seem capable of this. I could make the track-day simply another ticket type on the car-show event (that would solve the problem of them having to make a second payment, and enter all their details again, when we “should” already know them), but the venue and dates will be very wrong on their ticket and I’ll have to explain that somewhere. Also, I can’t make the track-day basic ticket required, and someone is bound to add only the option; or I have another combinatorial explosion of options and have to add 8 more ticket types for the track day.
I’m afraid that as of right now Event Espresso 4 does not have a feature that allows for linking two events to give a discount. They’re tracking interest in building an add-on that will add this feature, and your vote and feedback are welcomed on its Trello card:
I will not sign up for yet another service to vote on what, again, should be fundamental features of any product in this space. I am now shopping for a complete replacement for EE4.
If you do find a replacement feel free to post here as others may also be looking for the same.
