Limiting Registrations/ Tickets

I have created an event… a competition. Each entrant is only allowed to enter 5 times. I need the system to disallow them to enter after their maximum number of registrations is reached. Please advise me.

Hi there,

Current Event Espresso does not limit users registrations and prevent them from purchasing additional tickets.

You can set limits on each single registration to prevent a user from purchasing X amount of tickets in a single registration but there is nothing preventing that user from re-registering a second time for the same amount of tickets.

Are your users required to log into the site to purchase tickets?

If so it would be possible for a developer to add this functionality in for you with some custom development.

Thank you for your response!! Yes, they do have to log into the site. My company has used Event Espresso for quite a few years. The person who set everything up the previous years is no longer with the company and did not leave on good terms 🙁 Every year she was in charge, there were limitations. I am completely ignorant of how to manipulate the functionality of EE so could you please help me maybe locate in previous events the attributes or restrictions I would need in order to limit this year’s entries as well?
