My client has a reading program for 25 schools in the city, in which people sign up to read to children – one person per day per school in a four week span.
They want people to be able to register to read at a school site – they can sign up to read at any site or multiple sites per event period – but they should only be able to sign up once per site.
Would it be possible to put a check in the registration process, whereby the user can only register once per location?
I know this sounds like a bad word problem, but it is what my client wants.
Also, I saw in the test drive that it is possible to customize the registration fields, but did not see how to do so in the back end. Is this accomplished with an add on? ****EDIT[I found that these are populated from the custom questions area****]
I would greatly appreciate your assistance – I am kind of on a tight deadline, and your plugin would help immensely, but I need it to do the above as well.
There currently isn’t a way in Event Espresso to check for previous registrations before accepting new ones. So if someone registered once for one day at one location, they could go back later and register for another day at the same location. In order to add this type of feature, it would most likely take some custom development to achieve.
We typically do not offer developer/customization support that involves modifying core functions of Event Espresso. When we have the availability, we can take on customization work, but we are extremely limited right now.
