Is there anyway to decouple the event capacity from one of the tickets so it can be unlimited? The scenario is a event with say 50 person capacity with a paid ticket, then an optional charitable donation ticket that they can buy in say $5 increments. I want to limit the event to 50, but not limit the donation tickets to 50. If I set the event to unlimited and the registration ticket to 50 then it always says there are a lot of tickets available. |

Hi there, Why not just have one ticket for the event with a capacity of 50, and the donation tickets with no capacity limit? Remove the capacity at the datetime and just control the capacity via that one event ticket. Won’t that work? |

The problem there is it always says there are a lot of tickets available, so never says there are 10 tickets left, etc. Thinking about it, I do have the Price Modifier plugin, so I could do it as a optional question, not quite as elegant, but would work. |

If you set up a ticket with the capacity of 50, and when someone clicks the “Show Details” link for the event ticket, it will show them how many tickets remaining are available. Won’t that work? |

It would, but I guess not the most user friendly to have to click in to to see the amount left and then see below there are a lot of spaces left. I will play with using the Price Modifier plugin for it. Thanks |

All they need to do is click “Show Details” once to see the remaining ticket count, showing up to a maximum of 50 tickets with the actual available number below. Hopefully, a single click isn’t too inconvenient for users! Unfortunately, I can’t change the fact that there are quite a few spots left. The only way to create the appearance of fewer spaces would be to set a lower limit initially, then gradually increase it to suggest a limited capacity. Please note, the Price Modifier method doesn’t control capacity, so using it could lead to overselling an event. |

What I was planning to do with the Price modifier is create a question of Optional Donation, and check boxes for $5, $10, $15, $20. That would basically accomplish what I was trying to do with a ticket for the donations. My user base would be confused by the lot of spaces left text. Thanks |
