I have an event that has two event times (9:30 & 10:30) on the same date. There are 400 spots available for each time slot. I’ve noticed that the “Attendee Limit” applies to the entire day, not to each individual event on the same date. Is it possible to change this so the Attendee Limit will apply per time slot instead of per day?
If not, is it possible to close the registration for one time slot as it has sold out and leave the other event time open for registration still? The only way I see to do this is to remove the time slot that has filled up, but I was worried that deleting it might affect the data of those who have already registered.
The best way to handle this is to set up an event for each time slot.
That said, you can set a limit on time slots by going into Event Espresso>General settings and enabling the “Use registration limits on time slots” feature. This doesn’t quite work as expected in that group registrations will throw the count off. What you can do to finish up this registration is set the limit for the time slot that is full to 0 and it will no longer be selectable on the reg page.
One thing to watch out for is if you close a registration time and then go to update an existing attendee record, the system will change the record to the only available time. So I’d recommend backing up the database / exporting a list of attendees to be safe.
