On one of my sites in my WordPress Multi-site network, I have an issue with licensing despite having a 5 site everything license. This is the error I am receiving:
“A new version of Event Espresso is available. View What’s New with version 4.10.7.p. A valid Support License Key is needed to enable automatic upgrades. Your current account does not allow automatic upgrades on more than one domain. Please log in to your Event Espresso account to manage your Support License Keys or purchase a support license right now.”
My network sites are operating on independent domains, but when installing the product you can only do it in the network dashboard, which a license is credited to in my account via the host domain. Four other licenses are not assigned due to the absence of interoperability with WP Multisite. That said all has been working sufficiently for updates via the network dashboard until recently. It is unclear if it is related to WP v 5.5.1
I have noticed I am not receiving notification in the WordPress dashboard of the Network Dashboard of Event Espresso’s new version 4.10.7.p, but it is reflecting an update is pending in one of the network’s domains where installed.
I am running WordPress 5.5.1, its hosted on a dedicated server in AWS with plenty of resources.
Please advise how I can resolve this without manually updating the plugin.
I’ve reset your key to remove the above notice, you’ll need to open up the main site and go to Event Espresso -> General Settings
Remove the key (cut), save the settings, replace the key (paste) and save the settings once again to reassign the key which will remove the notice.
Officially we don’t support Multisite and the independent domains may be tripping up our licensing system, I’ll open a ticket on this to get some feedback and see where we can go from here to prevent the above.
