License no longer works for automatic updates

I get this error message on, while the key is only active on one domain:

“You have the correct Support License Key for Event Espresso – MER – Multi Event Registration (EE 4.7.0+) but your account only allows for automatic upgrades on one domain. Please log in to your Event Espresso account to manage your Support License Keys or purchase a support license right now.”

Have tried removing and re-adding the key but that did not help.

Hi there,

Just for future reference, once your license key has been flagged on multiple sites it needs to be reset (by us) to start working again and you can request a reset by clicking the button next to your license key on your account page (no need to do so now, but just noting how).

You have a subdomain site that is pinging out servers with your key which will then flag the key as being used on multiple sites, I won’t post any links to your site here but I’m guessing you’ll know the site I mean.

I you switch that subdomain to use either dev. or staging. the license system will allow that to work with your key along with your ‘live’ site.
