We are still having a problem with getting our license key active. We removed all versions of the plugin on our system and reinstalled the current version (3.1.27.1). We have deleted the key and saved it and re-entered it. It was thought it might be a FTP problem but we have since activated the FTP server and that seems to be working fine. I license key still says Not Active. Any help would be great. Jeff |
Hi Jeff, I’m sorry to hear about the trouble you’re having with the license key. Are there any error messages that pop up when you try to enter the key and save the options? |
|
Is you site public right now or do you have it behind some security? |
|
|
Thanks for the reply, not there are not any errors that pop up. It refreshes the screen and says “Organization details saved”. When I log into my account it still states my licences is not active. You can hit our registration site from the web but not sure about all the security of the server. How does our site update the license key on your server? Jeff |
Hi Jeff, Your site needs to be able to communicate with eventespresso.com much the same way that it communicates with wordpress.org to get plugin and core WordPress updates. Do you have any plugins installed from the WordPress.org plugin repository, and if so, are you getting update notifications for these? |
|
|
Yes, we have several plugins installed on our workpress site in which we can run and update for. It shows that we have an update for eventespresso but I get this message on the upate plugin screen. I have verified the key is correct and hav deleted it and saved it and then reentered it. “There is an automatic update for Event Espresso available but your Site License Key is invalid. Either you have entered the wrong key on the Event Espresso General Settings page OR you no longer have access to the updates for this plugin. Please log into your account to manage your Site License Keys or purchase a support license now.” |

Any update on this ticket? Jeff |
Hi Jeff, We’ll need to get access to your site in order to investigate this further. Can you send WordPress admin level log in credentials along with FTP access via the contact form on this page: https://eventespresso.com/contact/ If so, please select the “I am sending login info as requested” department form. |

Just submitted it. Thanks, Jeff |
We got them, thanks. I’m creating a ticket for the developer of the Plugin Update Engine so he can further investigate. We’ll let you know what we find. |

Good afternoon Josh, Just wondering if you have heard anything from the developer? Jeff |
Yes, He’s been working on updating the plugin update engine and is still working out some issues with the keys needing to be reset. For your site, he was able to regenerate a new key and it saved correctly. So the key is all set and will let you update as long as the FTP server is active. |
