My install of Espresso is now showing blank screens (with news@EVentEspresso and From the Blog at top)In all of the Admin sections except Event Overview. I logged int eventespresso.com admin area and it shows License Key Not Active. It was working fine for 2 months or so. Please advise.

The license key doesn’t have an affect on the blank screens. That is usually caused by a plugin, theme, or server memory issues. I would suggest deactivating any recently installed (or all) plugins until you find out which one is causing the problems.

The text “License Key Not Active” just means that you haven’t entered the license key into the Event Espresso > General Settings and cannot receive update notifications in your admin.

I don’t think this problem is related to your license key. What version of Event Espresso are you using right now. Did you install/modify any other plugins recently?

I disabled the one recent plugin (a backup app)with no change. Just noticed this error message in the only Event Espresso admin screen with content (Event Overview):

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 40961 bytes) in /home/gre1958/public_html/blog/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso.3.1.22.2.P/includes/event-management/event_list.php on line 328

WHICH IS:

                    $location = (!empty($event_address) ? $event_address : '') . (!empty($event_address2) ? '' . $event_address2 : '') . (!empty($event_city) ? '' . $event_city : '') . (!empty($event_state) ? ', ' . $event_state : '') . (!empty($event_zip) ? '' . $event_zip : '') . (!empty($event_country) ? '' . $event_country : '');
                    $dow = date("D", strtotime($start_date));
                    ob_start();
                    ?>

Line 28 is actually: ob_start();

That should be “line 328”.

You should look into increasing the memory on your server. 35mb is not enough to run a WordPress website with more than few plugins and a resource intensive theme installed.

On a side note. I noticed you are running an older version of Event Espresso. You should highly consider updating to the latest version.

I also had a red warning: over 500 records.Removed many of the dates until that warning disappeared.

Also noted some of the Event series do not have the right column which begins with QUICK OVERVIEW and EVENT OPTIONS. Simply missing. Others do contain the column.

Thanks for all the help.

Increasing the memory from 32m to 64m fixed the issue. Thanks! Guess I should have picked up on that immediately.
