Hello we just mass emailed about 100K and had around 20 people at any given time ordering tickets.

EE4 is acting werid by showing the “completed purchase” notification on the ticket page. Also it’s taking a very long time to load. Notified in the bottom it says “waiting for available socket”

Update, I believe its a WP Engine caching issue. I’ve turned off the cache completely and the error doesn’t seem to appear.

Hi there,

We took a look at your site and at this point we suspect a script from your Ticket Selector theme may be causing a conflict. Can you resend the “Redeem a Support token” form and this time please include FTP credentials so we can investigate?

Yes, caching can cause some issues. You can contact WPEngine and ask them to disable caching for Event Espresso pages and this way, you can use caching for the rest of the site.

Here is some information from our documentation that you can use when you contact WPEngine:

Just sent you the details.

Yeah I’ve contacted them before and it was working fine and today it has changed. Maybe it is the ticket selector theme?

I don’t know, because now the notifications are no longer getting printed when they ought not to be.

Ok Josh, I’ll keep an eye out if it happens again and get my team to keep monitoring it.

Thank you
