Hi,

We can look into this. May I ask where was the language file downloaded from, which language is selected in the site’s WP > Settings page, and what location (directory path on the server) was the .mo file uploaded to?

maybe the voice file was taken over by deaf. I deleted deaf. Suddenly the wrong word was displayed.
German was chosen on my website. The mo file I have in /www/ostnetz.ch/wp-content/uploads/espresso/languages (I have created myself) and in /www/ostnetz.ch/wp-content/languages/plugins and / www / east net. ch / wp-content / plugins / event-espresso-core-reg / languages. Unfortunately, no success.

May I ask where was the original pot language file downloaded from?

What is the filename of the .mo file that was uploaded?

Was the language selected Deutsch, Deutsch (Sie), or Deutsch (Schweiz)?

I have the language German, not Switzerland.
the Mo file is called:
event-espresso-4-de_DE.mo
event_espresso-de_DE.mo

I have found the problem: all mo un po (event_espresso-de_DE.mo) files must be deleted in the directory. Only the event_espresso-de_DE-4.mo and po may exist in the directory.

Hi there,

Removing all of the files is not necessary, however, there are 2 filenames that can be used for translation files (for backwards compatibility) so load order comes into play here.

EE will first look for event_espresso-{locale}.mo

Then it will look for event-espresso-4-{locale}.mo

So if you have both of those files, EE will load event_espresso-{locale}.mo

Meaning you could be editing event-espresso-4-{locale}.mo but EE is still loading the other file.
