For some reason, when people register for our events the emails are coming from a strange email address: kojolapo@box205.bluehost.com.

For this website, the registrar and mail is at GoDaddy and the hosting is through Bluehost (a sub domain of kojolapower.com)

We used to have the registration emails coming from info@medicinepath.org, but then we changed info@medicinepath.org to a forward only/catch all account. I think at that time the emails starting coming from kojolapo@box205.bluehost.com.

We now want them to come from abby@medicinepath.org and I have updated that email address in the setting info, but it hasn’t helped. I’ve spent lots of time with tech support from both GoDaddy and Bluehost and neither one can figure out how to fix this.

We tried an smtp plugin, that did not work. We also tried to find the send mail line in the php.ini file and couldn’t figure that out either.

I have paid for some support here, but was not able to use it because the process seemed to loop without ever submitting my request, it just kept telling me I had to purchase a support token after I already had purchased one.

Is anyone able to trouble shoot this with me?

Thank you!
Abby

Hi Abby,

Go to the Event Espresso General Settings, make sure “Use Fancy headers” is set to yes and save the settings.

That should swap the email over to show it is coming from your website and not the basic email.
