Hi there,

I’m experiencing multiple issues after upgrading to version 3.1.28.3.P.

  • When registering for events, it’s listing the event price as FREE even though a price is defined for both members and non-members for the event.
  • All of the recent registrations are listing unique names in the attendee list, but when I click on the attendee to view their details it’s listing the same person each time
  • I’m seeing the message at the top of the screen notifying me that “You have the correct Site License Key for Espresso Permissions Basic but your current membership access only allows for automatic upgrades on one domain”

I have tried to replace the event_espresso plugin folder with a back up of the old version but it didn’t seem to help. Can you please offer some guidance with these issues?

Hi there,

I’m sorry that you are experiencing these issues after upgrading.

With the first issue, are there any templates from an older version of Event Espresso in /wp-content/uploads/espresso/templates?

With the second issue, which version of Event Espresso did you updated from? Also, do you have a backup of the database from before this started happening?

With the third issue, we can try resetting the key for your site. I’ll reset that right now, and what you can do next is go to Event Espresso>General settings on your site and remove the key there are save. Then you can go to your account page and copy then paste the key from the account page into the key field in Event Espresso>General Settings, then save again.

Thanks Josh,

I’m not sure if there are older versions in the template folder. I didn’t change anything beyond running the updater. How can I tell if there are old versions?

The previous version that we were using was 3.1.26.P and I performed a full database backup and file backup right before proceeding with the upgrade.

I just checked and it appears that the license key in my account is the same as what’s on there now so I’ll check again in a little while. Thanks for your prompt support!

Hi there,

Is it possible to get a copy of that database backup? It would be really helpful for us to have that in order to find out what is going on. If possible, we would also like to take a look at the admin. If that’s okay, can you please send admin level credentials via our contact form?

https://eventespresso.com/contact/

Please select the “I am sending login info as requested” department form.

One other thing that I’d like to confirm: Was the site updated to Event Espresso 3.1.28.1 at any time between now and then?

Hi again Josh,

I’ll send along the login information as well as a link to the database backup. Thanks for looking into this.

There were no other updates made to Event Espresso except this most recent one.

I used the db backup you set to restore all the attendee answer information up to the point that the backup was made. There’s still some records between the time of the backup and the time you updated to 3.1.28.3 that are messed up but the majority of the data has been restored (10877 lines in the database). I also followed up via email.
