Issue with Paypal standard payments

I’m using Event Espresso Version 3.1.31.1 and WordPress 3.5.1 with Paypal standard Business account.

When attendees register, an actual Paypal transaction and confirmation # is generated. Payment is processed and deducted from the person registering for the event, a Paypal transaction ID is generated back to the registrant AND Event Expresso also generates a transaction ID in the email confirmation back to the user but the payment is NOT processed in our Paypal account! There is no record of the transaction.

Help please.

Hi Sarah,

Can you check the PayPal ID that’s entered in Event Espresso>Payment settings under PayPal Settings and verify that it’s the same PayPal ID that you use to log into your account at PayPal.com?

Geez – for other users of Event Expresso, my client provided me with a Paypal ID that was entered into Paypal, but was never confirmed and was not the Primary ID.

Updating the Paypal ID fixed the issue, but just be aware that you must enter a Paypal ID that has been verified. I didn’t detect this b/c one can log into Paypal using a Paypal ID that is NOT confirmed.  For others, log into Paypal => Profile => select My Business Info => verify that the Email address is Primary or confirmed.
