It will help to know which version of the Calendar add-on that you updated from so we can investigate this. The last few updates of the Calendar did not have this issue, but this may be a case that would happen if jumping from a much older version where new options have since been added.
The current version of the Calendar add-on for EE4 was released on October 7. I’m wondering if you had started with a much older version of the calendar that was downloaded from somewhere else? Or was this a case where you migrated from EE3 to EE4?
In any case, we’ve tested this and the calendar’s settings do not get reset on automatic updates or manual updates.
