I would like to remove the text “and must be purchased” for Free tickets.

You can add the above to a functions plugin or into your WordPress theme’s functions.php file.

I’ve added the code, but not sure where I should be looking to find filter to allow me to change the text.

You shouldn’t need to find a filter, the code I gave you will change the text to what appears on line 10 of the code. It sounds like the code isn’t executing. Did you add the code to a plugin?
