Is there a way to allow different EE users to "subscribe" to calendars?

I’m managing sites for multiple industry trade associations in a market and each group serves a unique audience. However, they’re all part of a larger top-line industry and there is a lot of cross-pollenation of members attending each others events or companies belonging to one or both Associations.

As I manage them both, they have both approached me and said, “We’d like to have the other association’s events appear on our calendar.”

I know it’s possible to subscribe to other kinds of calendars – can one (or both) “subscribe” to the other’s calendar? Or is there a calendar-sharing functionality? Or do we just have to manually export the events and import them into the other calendar?

Or am I wrong on all accounts?

Hi Scott,

There isn’t necessarily a way to post events automatically to a different calendar. However, you can create events in both systems and link back to the other site for them to register. You can do this by entering an alternate registration link in the event editor (right sidebar). Then when someone clicks register, it takes them to the other site to register for the event.

Does that make sense? It’s a little more work, but would that work for you?
