Hi, I was excited to find the [ESPRESSO_EVENT_ATTENDEES event_id=0000] shortcode today so I can show a list of registrants for each event. Is it possible to add their registration details as well? Specifically their address, email and phone number?

thanks!

Hi there,

Yes, it is possible to do but you would need to edit the template and add your own code to output additional details.

However, that shortcode was intended to give a list of attendees on the frontend of the site to show who is attending, are you sure your attendees would consent to their full address, email and phone number posted for all to see?

Personally I would not appreciate a site publicly posting all of that info without my consent if I simply registered onto an event. So before moving forward I just want to confirm you aren’t opening up a can of worms here with regards to GDPR and so on (depends on your location and registrant location if it would apply).

Hi again, that’s a good point. We’re not posting the page publicly – only with a password for the event admins to use, so would that still apply? We’re in Canada.

You would need to check locally to confirm but most likely yes.

Hiding the information behind a password protected page would help some, but it wouldn’t surprise me if you’d needed to do more as there would be no ‘user’ control with a password protected page. Anyone who found out the password could view the page and you’d have no way to identify which users had access.

It’s up to you should you wish to go down that route but depending on the information you want to provide for the event admins it may be better creating user accounts that have access to only the information they need in the EE admin.
