Are there any (automated) options available to schedule events to publish at a later date without manually publishing them? Currently, events display as soon as they are created unless the event status is set to “Draft” or inactive (under Advanced Options in the sidebar). Thanks!
Can you give us more details about why you don’t want the event to even display until a certain date? Most people set the registration start date for the date they want registration to begin. That allows them to promote the event but also control when people register.
The reason we are interested in scheduling future event publish dates is because the client we are working with usually announces events on the weekend, but the staff who enter these events into the website only work weekdays. They would like to publish the event information as soon as it is announced on the weekend (and not sooner) without needing staff to work outside normal hours.
While the schedule publish date is not in EE3 (nor will it be added), the good news is that this feature is already built in to Event Espresso 4.1. We’re working hard to get Event Espresso 4 (decaf/lite version) and 4.1 (pro features) released.
Don’t hesitate to let us know if we can answer anymore for you. Thanks for choosing Event Espresso!
