Do you know if it is possible to take payments in USD (as our event is in the USA) and for this to go into a UK based USD account. I know it’s not possible with Stripe but wondered if there are any alternatives?

Hi there,
So you want a merchant account that supports multiple currencies and allows you to hold both GBP and USD?
The only uk gateway I know of that allows you to hold multiple currencies is PayPal:
