I work for a large association and we have 3 conferences a year which require a registration for the conference in general, then registration for individual classes, lunches, etc. at the conference. It looks like Event Espresso might be what I am looking for with the multiple event addon, but I am not sure yet. Is anyone else using this plugin like this? Do you have a link to share so I can see how it is working on your site?
Additionally, can EE accept credit cards for the events or only Paypal?

Hi John,
I’m one of the support staff here. Event Espresso can manage conference style events quite well, the only caveat is that currently we do not have a parent-child relationship between events. Meaning that you cannot have a required event (the conference) and only if they buy that can they buy other events.
What people have done in the past is to create a kind of membership site using a system such as S2Member, where the users register and pay to join the conference and then use Event Espresso to manage the internal events.
We have around 20 payment gateways available to use, so as long as you have an account with one of them you can happily accept cards on or off site depending on the gateway. A full list of gateways can be found here https://eventespresso.com/features/payment-options/
