I have one test server that has PHP 5.4 installed on it. I can’t say that every feature in Event Espresso has been tested on PHP 5.4, but from the running it so far it seems fine.
That said, I wouldn’t recommend updating to PHP 5.4 on a live site just yet. There are quite a few plugins that simply do not work yet in PHP 5.4.
The minimum PHP version for WordPress at this time is 5.2.4. So there’s not a lot of pressure on most hosts to upgrade. We have to follow WordPress’ lead on this one. If we started using some of the new features of PHP 5.3, PHP 5.4, people still on PHP 5.2 wouldn’t be able to use Event Espresso.
