iPhone HD App Can't Login 403

I’ve was using the iPhone Event Espresso app without hiccups during the last few months but just today one of my Espresso Admin users couldn’t login to the app and I said I could. And I did, I had a couple of errors pop up as I tried to login… One was said: “Sorry, Can’t login. The operation couldn’t be completed. (Cocoa error 3840.)” So I tried again. This time: “Sorry, Can’t login. 403-forbidden”. So I tried again and was able to get in! yay!

Later I tried to get in again, now I am unable to. All I get is “Sorry, Can’t login. 403-forbidden” over and over again. I tried connecting to the test server and that worked fine but I cannot get onto my server anymore. I’m looking for anyone that can help.

Hi John,

The JSON API plugin is returning a 403 forbidden error. Please check the settings to make sure that the “Allow Public API Access?” is set to Public.

You can check if the API is working by going to /espresso-api/v1/events/public.pretty_json

If it is working you will see a big JSON list of all your events. If it isn’t working you will likely see an error.
