Hi In your post back to us you said “It’s working now. It may have been the wp-config.php file had been corrupted when it was set up.” I am wondering if I can rectify this again and see if it is this file that is causing the issue – I have had a look but it all looks OK as per a standard install. I am loathe to update files as we have made some customisation to emails etc from eventespresso and as the site is live I do not want to disrupt the setup. We are going to be running an event soon with a partner organisation and would like to be able to check people in using the app but at this stage can not. Let me know if you have any idea as to what we can do. Thanks |
Hi Sam, I don’t remember what the problem was with the wp-config.php file, and now I wish I had been more specific about what I reported earlier. I seem to remember that some things were missing from the wp-config.php file. Do you have any way of setting up a development server with a clone of your existing set up where you can test an update there first? You’re email customizations can likely be copied over into the new version with no problems, but I’d test that out on a dev server first. |

Hi Josh Unfortunately I am still getting the same issue. However the iPad version is working so I might just leave it at that – it is unfortunate though as we would have more iPhones than iPads available to us. Do you know what should be in the wp-config file? Is there anything Event Espresso specific? Thanks |
While there isn’t anything Event Espresso specific that should be in the wp-config file, you could compare what is in the sample wp-config file that you get when you download WordPress. If you see something that is in the sample wp-config file that is not in your site’s wp-config file, I’d start there. Also, it’s important to note that order matters. If definitions get rearranged, some things may not work. Before getting started with any editing, I recommend backing up the wp-config file. There is full documentation on how to edit the wp-config file here: |

I will give it a go and see if it work – otherwise we can just use the iPad app as it is working fine. Thanks |
Hi Sam, I hope that helps. We are working on making the iPad app universal, so it will run across iOS devices. |
