HI, I am very confused at what is appearing on the payment page the customer sees, when I have “activate invoice payments” selected.
I have included a screen grab here so you can see what i am talking about.

First, there are links to “choose a different payment option” that do not go anywhere, Also, there is a large link with a hover state that says “invoice payments” (this looks and is clickable) and this also goes nowhere.
Last, there is some bold text that says “download pdf invoice” in bold, and that is actually the only link that goes to the actual pdf.
Why are these other links not active and how can I remove these to avoid confusion by a customer. They will be confused if they try several of these links that do not go anywhere.

Hi Suzanne,
Normally the choose a payment option link will make the selected option slide open into view. With JavaScript turned off, or if there is a JavaScript error on the page, everything displays. In this case, there is a JavaScript error on the page due to the use of an older version of jQuery being loaded by the theme:

The current version of WordPress includes version 1.8.3 of the jQuery library, and Event Espresso requires this version to work as expected. The theme can be modified to load the version of jQuery that is included with WordPress. There is some example code posted here that may help:

Or you could contact the theme developer and ask them to update the theme so it uses the version of jQuery that is included with WordPress.
