When individuals sign up for a class on our client’s site and choose the invoice option, the invoice pops up showing a $0.00 amount. This is causing many issues as they are going back and trying to register again thinking that their registrations didn’t go through leading to double and triple bookings (which we verified with those individuals signing up). What could possibly cause the invoice to have such issues?
This can happen if there are any outdated template files in /wp-content/uploads/espresso/ as these will override the files in the core plugin.
The first place to check is /wp-content/uploads/espresso/gateways for any invoice template files from an earlier version.
If there are other out of sync files in /wp-content/uploads/espresso/, they may affect this earlier on because the variables that handle the total cost will not get correctly passed through the registration process.
In additional to checking for older templates, please be sure that all the add-ons are up to date. For example, if your are using the Groupon add-on, it will need to be updated to version 1.5.3. All of the current versions of the Event Espresso add-ons can be downloaded from your account page.
We have also noticed an issue with Paypal not showing which class was paid for and that confirmation emails are not going out. It sounds as if each of these could be tied directly back to old templates. Does this sound right to you as well?
Looks like you nailed it! Cleared out the old template, turned back on the payment gateways, did a quick refresh and all is well in the world. Thanks!
