Hello EE,
I’m running EE 3.1.29.1.P and WP 3.5. The registration works perfectly with Chrome and FF, but when my client tries to register for tickets using IE, he gets an error referencing a long-running script. This happens when he visits this page: http://lowcountryhabitat.org/event-registration/?ee=13 and attempts to register for a ticket from the dropdown menu.
I found a few other threads with discussions about various parts of the calendar not working with IE, but is there a known issue with IE and the entire registration process?
The Event Espresso registration process has been tested to work in IE9. From looking at the event that you linked to above, I can see that the max group registration is set to some very high numbers (9999 as a limit for one group), which is slowing the cart page down because it’s loading up 9999 digits into each dropdown. If you can lower that to something like 20 or 30 per group you’ll notice the dropdown menu will load up in a snap.
Yeah it’s amazing when some browsers will get bogged down on something like that, and others will be fine.
Glad to hear you’ve got it worked out.
