Internal 500 Error

Running Event Espresso on III7 with PHP5.4 MySql 5 using FastCGi as the handler. I am unable to add an event, on “Publish” I’m presented with this error:
Module FastCgiModule
Notification ExecuteRequestHandler
Handler PHP54_via_FastCGI1
Error Code 0x00000000
Requested URL http://iomsaweb.iomsa.com:80/wordpress/wp-admin/post.php
Physical Path C:\inetpub\wwwroot\wordpress\wp-admin\post.php
Logon Method Anonymous
Logon User Anonymous

I now noticed after looking through other threads that it says on the requirements page — https://eventespresso.com/requirements/ that it doesn’t work on most Windows/IIS environments.

Is this the issue here? If so, is there a work around or should I request a refund?

Thanks for your help!

Hi,

IIS servers are not the best ones to run EE or even WordPress for that matter. That being said, they can certainly run it, it just often takes more work to get things running smoothly.

I haven’t come across that issue before. Doing a quick Google, it seems that this error is possibly due to read/write permissions on the wwwroot folder. You may need to discuss this with your host.
