Hi,
This is a continuation of “Intermittent problems (EE4)” https://eventespresso.com/topic/intermittent-problems-ee4/
We finally have a verifiable instance of the “Your form data could not be applied” error. No php errors were logged at the exact time.
We were doing manual registrations for interested attendees who could not register due to this error, before facing the same error ourselves.
The registration worked for more than 18 other registrations before presenting us with the error.
Here is a list of what we tried:
– Clearing the cache does not work.
– Switching a browser does not work.
– Switching to a different PC does not work.
– Switching to a different internet connection works.
Info on the installation:
– No cache plugins are installed.
– No plugin clashes.
– WordPress 3.9.1
– Event Espresso 4.2.7p

Hi Ng Jia,
I think your theory about the slowness of the site possibly causing the issue may be spot on. When I go from the ticket selector page to the reg form page the load time can vary from a few seconds to 59 seconds. The inconsistency suggests the server may be under a heavy load. It may be timing out when on these occasions of heavy load when someone submits the registration form.
It may help to decrease the load on the server by optimizing where possible. Combining and compressing the JavaScript files and CSS files into one or two each will help reduce the number of https requests per page load. The WP better minify plugin is a nice tool for this.
Running some caching on the static pages will also help. Just so long as Event Espresso pages are excluded from the cache.
It may also help to move to a VPS or dedicated host if this is a high traffic site.
