Hello, On my new website I will sell tickets for events and trips. My question concerns the following. I am building up an online network through Buddypress and will sell tickets to my members. Somehow I would like to connect the two. So if a member is buying a ticket (while being logged in of course) he or she should be put on some kind of RSVP list so that other people can see who is joining. It gives people also the feeling they belong to the community and for sold-out events there will be another factor that is important, namely to show that you are going (just like going to a sold-out concert and posting it on Facebook). I was wondering if the Add-on WP User Integration is allowing this functionality, because it’s not entirely clear to me what it does.
The WP User Integration add-on allows you to give logged in members a discounted price on events. It also allows members to see a list of the events they have signed up for. There is seperately a LIST_ATTENDEES shortcode that can be used to generate a list of attendees for an event. Under the hood, EE maintains a relational table between members and their events, so it wouldn’t be very hard to modify the LIST_ATTENDEES shortcode to only produce a list of attendees that are members, or give some highlighting to those attendees that are members.
