However, when I create a new event I am not given the option to create a “single date” or “recurring dates”, as shown in the image below. The new “advanced editor” option is activated.
I’ve uninstalled the recurring events manager plugin and reinstalled it, with no results.
I also went to event espresso – maintenance and “reset event espresso capabilities” in case that had something to do with it, but that did not change anything.

You’ve mentioned adding a new event but the recurring events manager would show when adding a new DateTime within an event and I think we need to improve the wording on the documentation for this.
