Installed and activated but no EE menu items on the side bar

I have insatlled EE4 and activated it. Followed initial set up guides. However, the installation and activation process has generated the EE menu on the side bar. Unable to use at present. Not 100% sure whether I’m just being dull or whether there is a techincal issue. Help!

Further issue: the EE plug-in states update available. I update. It completes. I navigate away and the plug-in reverts and re-states update available.

This can happen when the capabilities have not been added to the admin account for some reason, you can fix that by going to:

{domain}/wp-admin/admin.php?page=espresso_maintenance_settings&action=data_reset

Then clicking on the ‘Reset Event Espresso Capabilities’ button.

Further issue: the EE plug-in states update available. I update. It completes. I navigate away and the plug-in reverts and re-states update available.

We are investigating this currently.

Thanks. When I follow the link (I have put in my domain) I get a page not found error.

Hmm, can I take a look in the admin?

Hi there,

I’m not sure why you got a page not found error but the above method worked for me, I’ve reset the capabilities and Event Espresso now shows up in the admin menu.

If you have any further problems please let me know.
